The decentralised I/O modules of the SmartModule series connect binary and analogue sensors and actuators to the mobile controller. They enable decentralised evaluation of sensor signals and control of actuators or proportional valves. The ifm product range includes models with digital and analogue inputs combined with digital and PWM outputs.
Connection is made via proven, robust connectors. The modules offer a high protection rating, resistance to shock and vibration and are particularly suited for mobile machinery such as construction equipment, agricultural machines or municipal vehicles.
Thanks to their high luminosity, the LEDs for operation, diagnosis and status indication are particularly easy to see.
Data output and setting of the device functions is handled via a CAN interface.
The units offer increased EMC levels and hold an e1 type approval.
