A timer relay uses an ectromechanical output relay and control circuit to open or close an electrical circuit for a predetermined amount of time or at specfic intervals.Timer relays are used to control pumps and irrigation systems, fans and centralized water systems, and other industrial applications. They reduce vibration and oscillation in machinery or systems by providing magnetic resistance.
The timer relay receives signals from an external sensor and switches its outputs according to the adjustable input and output delays. Optionally, ON delay and/or OFF delay, ON pulse and OFF pulse can be set via a selector switch.
Typical applications include lighting controls (minute lights, staircase time switches) and fan controls (time-delay relays).
